wife vs husband ..wife wins allways

WIFE VS. HUSBAND
A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word.
An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede their position. As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically, 'Relatives of yours?'

'Yep,' the wife replied, 'in-laws.'

W O R D S
A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a day...
30,000 to a man's 15,000.
The wife replied, 'The reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to men...

The husband then turned to his wife and asked, 'What?'

CREATION
A man said to his wife one day, 'I don't know how you can be so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time.' The wife responded, 'Allow me to explain . God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me;

God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you!'

The Silent Treatment

A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each other the silent treatment. Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight. Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper, 'Please wake me at 5:00 AM.' He left it where he knew she would find it.

The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight. Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed. The paper said, 'It is 5:00 AM. Wake up.'

Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests.

God may have created man before woman, but there is always a rough draft before the masterpiece.

Willedrob Apartments,bloomington

hi..I used to stay in Willedrob apartments in bloomington near four seasons road.

my view apartment is that this is not so well maintained apartment with a greatest advantage that it is near to the shuttle bus which comes from statefarm insurance office. These apartments are mostly occupied by indians. It contains around 10 different blocks which are maintained by different companies like firstone, apartment mart, highland etc.The rent for 2 bedroom apartment starts from 600$ -750$.Many apartements dont have sheds for cars.Corridors are not well maintained but inside the houses they are maintained ok.They have washers/dryers in common area's.

These apartments are good for people who are new to settle down and are in savings mode

barber shop

John McCain and Barack Obama somehow ended up at the same barbershop.

As they sat there, each being worked on by a different barber,

not a word was spoken. The 2 barbers were even afraid to

start a conversation, for fear it would turn to politics.

As the barbers finished their shaves, the one who had

McCain in his chair reached for the after shave.

McCain was quick to stop him saying,

'No thanks, my wife Cindy will smell that and

think I've been in a whorehouse.'

The second barber turned to Obama and said, 'How about you?'
Obama replied, 'Go ahead, my wife doesn't know what

the inside of a whorehouse smells like.'

roadblocks to success

When traveling down the road it is always good to beware of roadblocks! You do not want to crash and burn do you? The same is true in our journey toward success. We need to beware of those things that will keep us from our destination!

What Are The Most Common?
:.:

1. Fear:
Fear is one of the worst enemies of success. When fear wraps its tentacles around you and keeps you in bondage, you will never be able to reach for your dreams. We must confront our fears, see them for what they are, toss them to the side, and pursue our dreams with relentless passion. Conquering fear and stepping forward to reach new lands and new ideas is what makes success possible. What are you afraid of today? What fear must you conquer to be able to achieve your dream? When you realize what it is, take an action that is diametrically opposed to that which you fear. This will confront and conquer the fear by giving you the first step in the right direction.

2. Lethargy:
Quite frankly, what keeps most people from success is that they simply do not have the energy, or make the energy, to do what it takes to move to the next level. They get to a point that is comfortable and then they settle in for a nice, life-long nap! Do not get lethargic; get going! Force yourself to wake up from the slumber and move!

3. Lack of Perseverance:
Often times the race is lost because the race is not finished. Success is often just around the sharpest corner or the steepest hill. Persevere. Keep going. One more hill. One more corner! In real estate, they say the three most important things are "location, location, location." In success the three most important things are "perseverance, perseverance, perseverance. "

4. Pessimism:
The saying is that you can achieve what you believe. Ask yourself what kinds of beliefs you hold. Are you an optimist or a pessimist? If you don't believe that you can achieve than you won't. Your pessimism will prove yourself right every time. You will find that you subconsciously undermine yourself. Develop your optimism. Look for ways to believe that you can achieve success.

5. Not Taking Responsibility:
I am the chaplain for the local police department. The other day I went with an officer as he took two prisoners to court. Time after time the prisoners made excuses as to why they hadn't yet done what the judge had ordered (she didn't buy it, by the way). After dropping the prisoners off, I said to the officer that unsuccessful people and prisoners have the same bad habit - they won't accept responsibility for their lives. You are responsible. When you accept that, you are on the road to success.

6. Picking the Wrong People to Hang Out With:
We can easily become products of our environment. This is why it is essential to hang around people who will spur you on not hold you back! What about the people you have surrounded yourself with? Are they quality people who will encourage you and strengthen you in your quest for success? If not, move on!

7. No Vision:
Those who succeed always see their success months and years before they live it. They have the ability to look ahead, see the future, imagine the good that can and will come from their lives, families, and work. To not have vision is a tremendous roadblock. Sit down and work on seeing the future - and make it good!

kings gift

In ancient times, a king had a stone placed on a roadway. Then he hides himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the big stone out of the way.

Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. On approaching the rock, the rural person laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. As the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the rock had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the king indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the rock from the roadway. The peasant learned what many others never understand.

Johnson controls...innovation @ work

Johnson Controls who saved her company $ 80,000 a year when she noticed some items sticking out of the trash that shouldn’t have been there.
She realized that employees on the assembly line were putting parts in their pockets for convenience as they worked and were throwing them away when they discovered them as they left work.
Her idea was to place special recovery bins by the exit to the facility, with signs reminding people to check their pockets on their way out.
Whenever we meet employees who are unusually prolific suggesters, we like to ask them how they come up with so many ideas. They discipline themselves to notice “exceptions” – things that seem odd or out of place. Second, they record their thoughts and observations and generate ideas.

3M Corporation had a problem with glue it had invented; it did not stick things together effectively. Then one of its chemists, Arthur Frye, thought a way of combining the glue with a bookmark, which is something you want to move from page to page, so glue that did not stick too strongly would be appropriate. His combination was the Post-it-note.
3M launched the product in 1977 but it failed as consumers had not tried the product. A year later 3M issued free samples to residents of Boise, Idaho, United States. 90% of people who tried them said that they would buy the product.
By 1980 the product was being sold nationwide in the US; a year later Post-its were launched in Canada and Europe.

Bad news follows Satyam ...World Bank bans Satyam from Offshoring

Satyam banned from offshoring work with World Bank
11 Oct 2008, 2013 hrs IST,AGENCIES

NEW YORK: Software major Satyam Computer Services has reportedly been banned from doing any off-shore work with the World Bank after forensic experts and bank investigators discovered that spy software was covertly installed on workstations inside the bank's Washington headquarters, allegedly by one or more contractors from Satyam Computer Services.

According to a FOX News report, apart from Satyam, two IP intrusions have been reported from China, and there have been six intrusions in all.

Investigators say that the software, which operates through a method known as keystroke logging, enabled every character typed on a keyboard to be transmitted to a still-unknown location via the Internet.

Upon its discovery, bank officials shut off the data link between Washington and Chennai, where Satyam has long operated the bank's sole offshore computer center responsible for all of the bank's financial and human resources information.

"I want them off the premises now," World Bank President Robert Zoellick reportedly told his deputies. But at the urging of CIO De Poerck, Satyam employees remained at the bank as recently as October 1 while it engaged in "knowledge transfer" with two new India-based contractors.

Satyam is publicly listed on the New York Stock Exchange and boasts having two billion dollars in sales and more than 150 Fortune 500 companies as clients.

In 2003, Satyam won a lucrative five-year "sole source" contract to design, write and maintain all of the World Bank's information systems. The contract, which began at $10 million, had grown to over $100 million by 2007. This year, the contract was not renewed. Satyam has declined to comment.

FOX News claims that outsiders have raided the World Bank Group's computer network, one of the largest repositories of sensitive data about the economies of every nation, repeatedly for more than a year.

It is still not known how much information was stolen. But sources inside the bank confirm that servers in the institution's highly restricted treasury unit were deeply penetrated with spy software last April. Invaders also had full access to the rest of the bank's network for nearly a month in June and July.

The crisis comes at an awkward moment for Zoellick, who runs the world's largest and most influential anti-poverty agency, which doles out $25 billion a year, and whose board represents 185 member nations.

This weekend, the bank holds its annual series of meetings in Washington, and just in advance of those sessions, Zoellick called for a radical revamping of multilateral organizations in light of the global economic meltdown.

Zoellick is positioning himself and the bank as an institution that can help chart a new path toward global financial stability. But that reputation, more than ever, depends on the bank's stable information infrastructure.

According to internal memos, "a minimum of 18 servers has been compromised," including some of the bank's most sensitive systems, ranging from the bank's security and password server to a Human Resources server "that contains scanned images of staff documents."

One World Bank director told FOX News that as many as 40 servers have been penetrated, including one that held contract-procurement data. It took ten days for bank officials to detect that they'd been invaded. Once they did, they shut down all external servers, except for e-mail, which it turns out the invaders were already using as their entrance point.

A World Bank spokesman, however, rubbished the Fox News story, saying it is riddled with falsehoods and errors.

What happens if ICICI bank goes down...

This is a good article which explains what happens to our money if icici bank goes down.

some important points are

1.deposits upto 1 lakh under one name in different branches will be considered as one account and will be given maximum of only 1 lakh rupees if bank is shutdown. So if you deposited money in total is above 1 lakh try to shift it to some other bank ....

2.If bank goes shutdown then to get this 1 lakh money it may take time like atleast 2-4 weeks so if you feel banks position is bad then remove the money from the account .

and you can read more about this here

Airtel call home ..call india cheap

I ma currently using 'Airtel Call home service' to call India .I happy with the clarity and offers which come in airtel.

I use local access numbers given in Airtel call home website. With that i call @ a cheap rate to my house.I also get bonus talk time when i refer some of my friends .
I also get some more talk time when i recharge also.

One bad thing is that when you register some times you may get 'exception page' or 'error page' putting you in confused state ,you can call the customer care people and talk to them you will get the password etc from them easily.

Calling customer care ..you should have patience to wait in line for at least 5-6 minutes based on time you call them.

I will rate as 4.5/5
